മാലാഖമാരുടെ വിലാപം -The Lamentation of Angels- Ravichandran C
This is a talk by noted authour Ravichandran C at Government Polytechnique, West hill, Calicut, Kerala on 12.8.2017.
The speech was on the recently concluded Nurses’ strike in Kerala, in July, 2017. The speaker observes that the inherent gender bias in Kerala is deeply related to the overdose of religiosity. Hailing Nurses as ‘angles’ is a tricky ploy to deprive them of the basic human rights and wages.
Nurses are not angels, they are human beings with equal status, so they should be treated accordingly. Later, Ravichandran fielded questions from the audience.
